CoM: ROBIN, HOW DID YOU FIRST LEARN ABOUT CARNEVALE IN VENICE, ITALY?

RY: I first saw some photos that my photography teacher, Jim Zuckerman, took of my other photography teacher, Florine Houee, in 2013. Somehow, fate and destiny played out well and we all got to know each other in 2014 when I attended Jim’s photo workshop.

CoM: WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT VENICE’S CARNEVALE?

RY: The whole atmosphere, the photo opportunities, the food, and the shopping (and sales).

CoM: HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE VENETIAN CARNEVALE TO SOMEONE WHO HAS NEVER BEEN?

RY: You got to see it to believe it!

CoM: WHAT IS YOUR CARNEVALE RELATED BUSINESS?

RY: Fine Art Prints. I started doing fine art prints of my award winning photographs a few years back when a boutique hotel in Japan asked me for them. I didn’t charge them anything for it because it was my first time and that picture is hanging inside one of their grand suites.

CoM: WHERE CAN WE SEE MORE OF YOUR WORK?

RY: Generally, the prints are used for International Photo Exhibitions. My photos are also on my website. They’re best viewed using a large desktop computer.

CoM: WHAT IS A CARNEVALE BUSINESS YOU LIKE TO SUPPORT?

RY: I am a huge fan of Murano glass. Especially, the medium to bigger size decorative pieces. I got hooked when the owner of The Glass Cathedral gave me a piece a few years ago.
